The V317 Document
This is the v317 document you can get it from the post office or download it from DVLA web site. You will need to complete this if you would like to keep your registration number. Only dispose of your vehicle after you have had approval from DVLA.
V14 Document
This is the v14 form. you will need to fill out to claim any remaining full months left on you vehicle make sure to copy details from V5c log book exactly as any error will result in DVLA declining refund. It can be found at the post office or download from DVlA web site.
London Borough License
This is our licensing with London Borough of Harrow It is our Motor
salvage operators license,You have to have this if you deal with salvage scrap vehicles Anyone who has not got this is breaking the law and if you pass your vehicle over to someone who is not licensed you can be prosecuted.You can check your license by contacting Peter coates at Harrow council he is the licensing officer.and issues car disposal licensing. We are required to keep records for six years. We will not share your details with third parties.
Certificate of Destruction
This is the certificate of destruction (COD) you will receive this after you vehicle has been recycled.
Keep as proof just in case you have any problems with DVLA.
Waste Transfer Note
The image on the right is a Duty of care waste transfer note.As your scrap vehicle is waste we are required to supply you with is document it contains details of the vehicle your details and our details. anyone removing scrap vehicles must supply you with one of these documents.
If we failed to supply you with this document and the authority’s (police or Environment agency) were to stop us while a vehicle was in our possession we along with you would receive a fine of £160. These are the regulations that deal the European Directive on End of Life Vehicles. They cover Authorized Treatment Facilities on how vehicles must be de-polluted and recycled.
This act and regulation has been introduce to regulate the motor salvage industry. They require motor salvage operators to register with their local authorities and to keep records of vehicles handled with details of suppliers and recipients.
They also allow the police to have right of entry to registered premises without warrant at any time. You must have this licensing to dispose of scrap vehicles!
