What’s a Logbook? (V5c) Lost Logbook!
Logbook, this is the document containing the details of the registered keeper of the vehicle.
No logbook No problem!
In some cases you may have lost your V5c registration document or it may have been retained by your insurance company as your vehicle may have been written off.
This is not a problem, as we have to by law see identification from you or from the person handing the vehicle over to us see Dvla regulations. In addition you still have to inform the DVLA that you are no longer the recorded keeper of the vehicle, you can only let them know in writing, it is not possible to them as they requre conformation in written form.
